Mindful Seniors: Building Resiliency, Focus and Healthy Connections

Over an eight-week period, NeuroFocused delivered a two-hour mindfulness workshop covering brain wellness, emotional regulation and attention, meditation techniques, light mindful yoga and a focus on reducing distress while engaging in life more fully.

Each class started by goal-setting within the context of the session topic, in order for participants to align their self-care actions for the week. MBSR techniques were used for reflective healing and meditation practice: body scan, loving kindness, sitting with pain, breath awareness, walking meditation, to list a few. Average group outcome: overall life satisfaction increased 65% while feelings of stress decreased 67%.
