What makes African American men more vulnerable to #prostate #cancer?

Genetic, epigenetic and social disparities – are all thought to make the African-American men more vulnerable towards prostate cancer. Ajay Singh, University of South Alabama talks about the some of the possible molecular mechanisms that underlie some of the features of aggressive prostate cancer. He focuses on the MYB-c, a transcription factor that expresses in prostate cancer cells, in higher amounts in African-American men, and potentially also impacts the androgen signalling pathway.
